Our customer faced frequent and severe downtime caused by biomass ash blockages and fires within the ESP hopper. The situation was made worse by the inadequate performance of the existing pneumatic conveying system, resulting in unreliable operations and compromised plant reliability.

Clyde addressed these challenges by installing new D-Pumps. This robust upgrade dramatically improved the reliability of the entire system, ensuring consistent operation and eliminating the root causes of previous disruptions.

Since commissioning the D-Pumps, the ESP hopper has been maintained in a nearly empty, normal operating state. This immediate improvement completely resolved the issues from the very first day of start-up, restoring plant uptime and operational excellence.
